There are seventy some different versions of this wrench. I own 37 different versions so chances of buying one I already own are about 50/50. Bought this Type 24 at auction this morn and guess what. When I got home I already had two copies.

I was feeling good when I came home with a Stanley 27 transition plane on Wednesday until I found the other no 27 in my plane lineup. So I gave one the one hour tune up and cleanup. The other one got the full 3 hour treatment. I will post photos tomorrow. Sometimes an oops duplicate is a good thing.
Seventy different tools with the same part number and configuration? No wonder they went broke.

That and going around and buying up other bankrupt companies while John Deere was buying up companies that were true competition to them.Kind of like Sears and K-mart merging, it didn't help either company, just kept them going for a few more years. I lost count long ago how many versions I have of the G3170, but have lost much interest in most IHC wrenches unless they are the rarest ones. There is just to many and to many variations of each.
