Title: V.T. Co Tool Kit Driver Wrench
Post by: OilyRascal on September 27, 2013, 06:24:31 PM
This roped out of the wild today.  Its design and build are interesting to me to say the least.  It is marked "V. T. CO Tool Kit Driver" and marked "Patent 2046837" and "Patent 2046840".  The patents both relate to Henry F. Phillips means of uniting a screw with a driver.  Any information appreciated.

All of this leads me to missing our "toolkit expert"; 1930.

I have this same screwdriver -- in somewhat better condition -- and it came from the "tool kit," as such, found in my mother's old 1950 DeSoto Deluxe.  Chrysler used to supply some tools with each of their cars.

Rethinking this old thread...VT  in a shield for Vlchek Tool Co....
So, perhaps V.T. Co is just a variant for them?

First time I've seen this thread, but I'm sure you're right...

A 1913 catalogue:

A 1935 ad:

An almost-identical 1940 ad. Notice how the VTCo. is now absent from the logo in the top right corner:
