I just joined the forum, but have been collecting wrenches for many years.
I am not an advanced collector by any stretch of the imagination...actually I am a newbie for the most part with a very basic knowledge of wrenches...a real neophyte if you will.
I attend a bunch of flea markets, and often buy odd lots of tools. I pick out anything I like, and keep them. I even have a tool box drawer, and ummm, a few storage bins that are marked "Wrenches that I thought were cool".
I am excited to have found this forum. Most of the wrench collectors I've met in the past thought I was crazy for collecting many of the common makes of wrenches, and at least two of them laughed and sneered when I told them what I liked to collect.
At any rate, I really love old Craftsman wrenches with what I call the "C-underline" stuff, where the bottom of the 'C' in Craftsman carries out to underline the entire word of Craftsman.
I also love old tractor and plow wrenches, and of course, automotive wrenches too. I also love to pick up, even though they are worthless in monetary value, wrenches that have been modified by someone to fit an application....call me crazy and sneer if you wish.
Thanks!!! I am looking forward to learning a whole bunch of new stuff!!!!

Hey and welcome from southern California.
I don't see anything wrong with what you collect and I won't be laughing or sneering.
Like Papaw I'd like to see some pics too.

Welcome from Northern California, too. No sneering here; modified tools tell a story. Got some myself.
And we do like pictures...

Welcome from central Il. I too buy stuff(wrenchs etc) that others don't consider worthy of carying home. Also anything that I don't know what it is. How else are we going to learn what everything is ? Always glad to help with identification of tools when I can. Not too smart but I am old.

Welcome aboard from Chester County, PA! Indiana's an interesting place from Columbus in the south to Auburn and South Bend to the North, but then I am probably preaching to the choir.
