Title: Was Only Batting .225 This Weekend
Post by: dimwittedmoose51 on September 08, 2013, 04:54:50 PM
Between Thursday night and Saturday afternoon, I musta been to 30 yard sales  and spent money at maybe 6 or 7, and one was a friend of mine's semi annual tool sale.  The best find other than the 6 or 7 Plomb wrenches as the old Wilton Wood Vise.  I may clean it up and re-sell it, as I'm really happy with the Craftsman one I got a couple years ago.  This thing weighs 26#.  The Craftsman wood gouges were 25 cents each at an estate sale that had half price going on.  Can't believe someone didn't grab them at 50 cents a piece the day before.....

Closeups of the vise.  Anyone know if the metal slide handle was original?  The only Wilton wood vises I could find on ebay seems to be newer, but all had metal slides.  Can't tell if this one is a homemade one from 3/4" pipe and caps or factory.

What are the 3 pressed wrenches for pictured vertically on the left in the 1st post/4th picture? They look like wrenches that might have come with power tools...?

JessEm:  The top one isays Champion Spark Plug on it and has two 6 point hex cut outs.  Not sure what they do.  The other two wrenches are Harley Davidson wrenches I got from a friend that's getting out of the tool selling business.
