Title: Bonney hammer
Post by: jimwrench on September 06, 2013, 11:22:58 AM
It looks like a hammer but its only 4 inchs long. Has a CL13 model number. COO is USA. What is its intended usage ? Iv'e ruled out framing hammer but have no clue otherwise. Didn't buy it purposely (came in auction box). Found it cleaning out truck so I can pack some wrenchs for trip to Baraboo (MVWC fall meet) Last time I tried to attend MVWC meeting we got snowbound in Wyoming for 2 days. Hope this doesn't bring Sept snow to Wisconsin.

That is one sexy little devil! Gotta wonder if it isn't a home brew?

On second look homemade looks probable. Hammer handle stops about 1/2 from bottom of hole in plastic handle. Very nice tight fit and feels factory made but bet CL13 is a screwdriver. If he had driven it that other 1/2 in it would be hard to tell. Still wonder what he used it for. All tools should have audible history attached (who made me,who owned me,where I've been and what I've done)

Big box stores already have this employed for their own use on high-value tools - they use RFID

Interesting...

A screwdriver, but not a plain one.

CL13 was a clutch head screwdriver, stubby....

Handle style seems to match 1967 catalog pic...
