Does anyone recognize this clamp? It's very similar to a Miter Saw clamp, but way more stout... A radial arm saw perhaps? The peg is 11/16" diameter x 5" long. The arm is cast iron and painted an aqua-green hue. I'm trying to think of who makes tools this color.. It seems a little too green, and not quite gray enough for Delta... Grizzly maybe? Anyone?

Thanks for the reply, OT. Unfortunately, if that's a clue that's supposed to help, I'm afraid it's lost on me. :)

have a Hitachi miter saw with a very similar part used for clamping your work to the fence

my guess would be a miter saw and Hitachi makes stuff that color.

It is a hold down for a Hitachi miter saw. It goes on a C8FB2 8 1/2" sliding compound miter saw. Go to Hitachi' s web site, go to Discontinued Tools and download the parts list for the C8FB2. Your part appears to be an exact match. The hold downs for the other miter saws listed all differ slightly from yours in the shape of the top arm. It may fit another Hitachi saw as well, just not the other discontinued one's.

Thanks RWhite and everyone else. It would appear you are correct. This was mixed-in with a bunch of older machinery accessories so it threw me off a little bit...
It's sorta funny because I've always been intrigued by that little 8-1/2" Hitachi, despite it's obvious limitations.
