Title: Johnson Compressor, What to do?
Post by: Mitch213 on July 28, 2013, 04:43:43 PM
Hi, I have a Johnson system temperature regulation air compressor. I'd like to know what I should do with it, either modify it, or sell it. It looks to be 80 years old or so. I haven't found any online info, except for a post on this forum (Check out this air compressor « on: November 04, 2011, 07:04:09 PM).

I'd like to boost up the pressure it puts out up to between 100 - 150PSI, but I dont want to damage it. Currently it seems to be a low pressure air pump. The drive is set up so that it runs very slowly, and I can hold back the discharge pressure with my thumb.

Any thoughts, suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey-I have one of those, at least one very similar. Here's the thread where we discussed it:

Careful with those cylinder oilers-they break easy!
