Welcome. Nice wrench , solid Brass?
-
Thanks Lostmind, The wrench is solid sterling silver -- except the knurl which is brass. Poor lighting plays tricks on me. Ralph

Welcome from Wisconsin. GREAT miniatures. My eyes and brain are getting to the point where miniatures are not an option. I went in the other direction.

Very nice Ralph! Did you make the monkey wrench also ?
Brian
Also should note that John was kind enough to post a comparative scale pic !
-
Very nice John, and Thanks. I could get into that scale -- it is the extremes that I like. I like the comparative scale, Brian. Yes, I made the monkey wrench and a few other tools in my collection. Will try to post some pics. Here's a nice little pair. Ralph

Very nice work,,,,, but oh my eyes are hurting! darn bifocals

Go Art Go!! I love this. How long have you been doing small tools?
Where have you been hiding? :)
I try pretty hard to seek out the miniature toolmakers, for mutual aid and general support (there aren't very many of us around), and here you found me.
Very pleased to meet you
yours Scott

Scott, I think that you two are about equal. I took a tour of Ralph's photobucket site. WOW! I love the little solenoid engines to power the tools. You made my day with the tour. What a craftsman! The rest of you guys need to see this!

That's some outstanding work, Ralph!! Kudos to you!

Thanks Gents. You are right John K. I have to take frequent breaks for my eyes to adjust and for my cramped hands to recover. Well Johns..., you have found my bucket : ) I took a little detour from miniature hand tools to miniature engines (solenoid powered) and explored that thoroughly for a couple years, and now I'm back to miniature hand tools. Scott, I am glad to have stumbled into you, having searched far and wide for craftsmen of miniatures tools and having found so few. I wasn't sure that my stuff would be appreciated when I eased into this forum. I am very pleased to meet you and glad to share. I took a walk through your web site and am incredibly impressed and immensely envious. Your stuff is incredible -- as good as I've seen anywhere and better than some museum pieces. I'd like to share thoughts with you sometoime. Do you display / show at any museums? Ralph
