Title: Wilfred German tool
Post by: superzstuff on May 13, 2013, 09:54:23 PM
My brother found this tool and asked me what it is used for. I guessed glass workers tool but not sure. Looks to be maybe 12" long. Marked Wilfred Professional on one side and Germany C on other.

I think that's a hair  curling thingy, I remember finding one as a kid. I believe it's warmed up and applied to the hair.
Could be way off here :-)

Shirley Temple curls here I come! Yes I agree with Batz curling tongs. From what I can see I'd date them in the 20 or 30S, but I could be wrong they maybe pre WW1?. These are very nicely made, I have not seen German curling tongs here in Oz, most of the ones I have or have seen here are French for some reason!?
