After I found a #77 Keystone Wrench I got to wondering about their numbering system.
I saw several different ones on ebay but still not all that I believe are out there.
Does anyone have or know of a list for these wrenchs. I know of these;
Curved ones are;
#76 is 6 inch
#78 is 8 inch
#80 is 10 inch
#82 is 12 inch
#84 is 14 inch
Straight ones that I know of;
#77 is 7 inch
#81 is 11 inch
so does it make sence that there is a #79 - 9 inch
& #83 for a 13 inch?? If even numbers are curved
and the straights are odd numbered.
Here are the 3 that I have so I might as well collect them all, right :-)

There is a curved 4 inch, I believe.

That would make my questionable list bigger then.
I guess the 4" curved would be # 74, and possibly a 5" straight one.

I've never heard of a #75 5 inch; the only ones in the odd number straight handles I'm aware of are #77, #79 & #81. I've never seen an ad or catalog listing for the odd # Keystone straight handle adjustables, but the even numbered ones are listed in the 1920s. An April 1922 ad listing the #74 as "newly added to the line" was reprinted on pg.8 of the June 2011 MVWC newsletter.
#74 4 inch was only produced as a nut wrench and is one of those relatively high dollar 4-inchers. # 76 through 84 were produced with nut and pipe jaws --

Well, sure; now that you're started, you really need to complete the set.

Lots of great info. and a challenging task I'm gonna take on especially finding them one at a time.

Of course, you get the Westcott's, then there is the Erie, Bonney and it seems like there is a few others that I can't recall at the moment. Also you will need the Fordson branded ones too. Both the embossed and stamped ones.
Got enough to keep you busy for a while yet?

That's a little more than steep for these short pockets, but there's always them yard sales & auctions and such.

Got this to go with the other Keystones but it doesn't have a number just 12" auto.

To bring an old thread back to life.......
23 hours of my time and 530 miles of driving later.... I have a 74 now. Had no idea it was there until I got to the sale, and couldn't believe I actually found one. It's not perfect, but I'll take it. Especially since I don't have near as much into cash wise as that one that was linked to earlier in the thread that sold on ebay. I thought that completed my Westcott collection..wrong, forgot my 14" ers were not westcott's, so I'm searching for that one now since the hardest one is out of the way.
BTW... I did get more than just this wrench. Actually got a fair amount of decent farm wrenches.

I finally talked my buddy into selling me his #84, the problem is last year when he bought it I was kidding with him that I was gonna steal it, we looked an hour and a half for that wrench and never found it. lol, he thinks its in a box in his attic, hope so or he might really think I took it.
Are there any more Wescott auto wrenches other than this 12 incher?

Have no idea why they're so huge. I just zoomed out so far where the letters look like dots.

If you have a scrolling mouse, you can hold down the CTRL key and scroll the mouse to shrink or enlarge the view. Otherwise find the horizontal and vertical scroll bars by the picture to see it.
When posting pictures on a forum it is best to keep the size smaller so viewers don't have this problem.

I have a 6 in. That has the "cut away" jaws like yours, but is not marked auto. It is a no. 76.
Mine is made like the one in the bottom photo.
The other 6 in. Wescott I have is the one with the open handle, it also has thicker jaws.
