Has anyone picked up a so-called Scandinavian lock which displayed a 19th or early 20th century American railroad logo on it? I found this one 25 years ago, hanging on the wall of a young seller.
On another tack, was Chas. J. Fields Sons a prominent Pennsylvania lock maker?

A little creating googling is giving me the impression they were a hardware seller rather than a maker. The Phila city council expense reports show buying tools, lye, hardware,bolts, links (chain?),house furnishing goods, locksmith work...
They sums involved are considerable, several thousand 1911 dollars...
Also, Sweets lists them as dealers for Reliance Ball bearing door hanger co...
