After lurking for ages...
Truly an old tool nut (old anything really) and, having
learned so much here, I decided to make it official!
I go by ET and I'm the 4th generation of metal
worker (retired) in my family, so a love for
good old tools is pretty much genetic!
Think I'll go wander around the site now. :)

Welcome!
After 4 generations, you must have some good old tools in your collection.
Let's see 'em!

Welcome to Tool Talk!
Glad you came in from the "lurk" mode. Post about your old snips we discussed, because there are folks here that will have more answers for you than I did.

Thanks for the welcome folks and, ya, it's about time I wandered around here more often.
I'll be asking a few Q's here and there so I'm sure you'll see me around.
Papaw, I lobbed the snips back in the tool box but I'll post them up as soon as I dig them out again.
Again, thanks for the welcome! ET
BTW--how do I subscribe to this thread?

Here ya go on the shears.
Remarkably nice shape...cuts a
single sheet of paper cleanly.
It will get one more bath in evapo-rust
to get to the area near the pivot.
P&C model #1317 measuring 7".
Oh, figured out the subscribe option. :)
