Despite warnings of rain for this morning, it dawned beautiful and got better all day. Here's what I found today:
- A 6 1/2-inch pair unused Diamond Horseshoe pliers;
- an 11-inch unused Harley-Davidson 3/4-inch combination wrench; and
- an 8-inch Moore Drop Forge monkey wrench (now cleaned up)
-
I like the monkey wrench best of all.

At first I thought the wrench was bent, and then I realized that the cast handle is riveted to the shank; and I imagine the pressure from the movable jaw, transferred to the handle through the adjusting screw, has pushed it out of alignment. Neat looking wrench.

Bill:
You've got a good eye. Last night, I applied a couple of well-placed hits with my Dad's old 4-pound hammer, aka the Persuader, to the loose handle rivet. That action had two good effects. It aligned and tightened the handle, and it secured the adjusting screw in its socket. The second picture of the wrench shows these results.

Job well done, Bob!

I wear my Tool Talk hat everywhere and all the time, except in church.
