Title: still sorting wrenches, S-K
Post by: bird on July 08, 2011, 01:49:41 AM
Hi guys, my latest collection I've put together is S-K tools. A few of them also say "Lectrolite" on them.   I'm pretty sure I have some "Tru-Fit" tools baring the same name. I guess that was a product/ confusion of several companies merging together.  Anyhow, I have a bunch of S-K wrenches that are strikingly dissimilar.
I'm guessing SK tools are pretty common. Anyhow, love any info (besides AA, which I've already looked at)
cheers, bird

As I recall, Lectrolite and S-K had a partnership going in the late 50's. Then Symington Wayne bought S-K in 1962, and the tools were "S-K Wayne" till 1969.
I always took the "Wayne" logo as the divider between "modern" S-K wrenches and the vintage ones. Just my opinion.

Dont sell anything until you find out what its worth, dont be taken advantage of if you yourself need the money. The time to be nice and give stuff away is when you have things to already be gratefull for.
