So, I'm just getting around to posting last weeks flea market grab.
Found this almost hidden under some table saws and scroll saws on stands, at a vendor's area that is usually a good source for hand tools. The place was getting ready to close, so I found the seller and got a price. Don't think I could have done much better for $35. So glad I bought a truck last fall, this wouldn't have fit well in the wife's little sedan!
Everything is there, included a HUGE old 1/3 HP Leland motor, which I will replace with a smaller, higher HP motor after I finish refurbishing this beast. Nice and heavy, this will replace my little Haba Flate benchtop in the shop. The model/serial number tag cleaned up nicely with a little simple green and an old toothbrush. Looks like a lot of the original grey paint is still intact on this drill, under all the greasy crud caked on it.
The only damage I see is a missing switch, a few drill marks on the table, and a broken thumbscrew to adjust the motor horizontal position. Most everything should be an easy fix once I get cracking on this. Missing the little spindle cover that mounts on top the pulley guard, but I can live without that for now.
