Title: Scorp
Post by: john k on February 16, 2013, 11:27:58 AM
Have this scorp, holding it for someone.  Picked it up at a flea not quite finished.  Turned the handles, just need to finish the fitting.

I have one too and it is also beveled on the inside too.    I find a lot of them that are beveled on the outside and that is what I prefer for scooping.
What is the use and purpose for the bevel being on the inside ?    I really prefer riding the bevel because I can control the depth of cut very easily that way.

That is really sweet!
From the shape of the tangs? and the bevel like that?  I suspect this one was made for rounding off work rather than scooping wood.
I could see it taking the corners off work in a hurry!!

 Nice
