Title: Barnes Bicycle Wrench
Post by: HeelSpur on November 21, 2012, 10:49:51 AM
Got this at a flea market for a few bucks, but the nurl is froze up on it.
Anyways, can't seem to find this exact one, found others that say dropped forge where the patent date is on mine. Any help would be cool.

I looked at the two I have and they both have drop forged on them.

I have two and neither has that patent info. They say drop forged steel and Barnes Tool Co.

The only one I have, does not have patent dates on it.

Your wrench is considerably rare than the one marked "Drop Forged Steel". The marking variation is mentioned on DATAMP at:
http://www.datamp.org/patents/displayPatent.php?number=339,813&type=

and one sold on The Wrenching News Ed & Judy Friedman Auction in 2006. I don't have one in my collection. Would be interested if you ever decide to sell it.
