Title: Mystery K-D Tools Puller

Anyone know what this puller was designed for. It has unequal legs.
Made by KD Tools over 30 years ago by one of their subsiderarys lond since gone ( so explained by KD) The number is K-D 2073 (Made in USA)

That is an overhead valve spring compressor.You would use this to take off the valve spring to replace the valve stem seals.You use an air hose that screws into the spark plug hole and use compressed air to hold up the valve so it wont fall into the engine.

Legs are unequal length to better fit the spiral of the spring coils.

These were a real time saver when they came out.I haven't used one in a few years - quite a few years.Late 70's and 80's when they started using lighter oils and hotter temps.The valve seals would crack and the engine would blow smoke.
