Title: Mallory Wrench Info Wanted
Post by: Bus on June 24, 2011, 11:25:42 AM
Anybody have any info on this 5-1/2" pressed steel Mallory wrench? Was it made for a specific product or was it part of a set. Any connection to the Mallory Ignition Company?

Maybe it was part of a set, like the Ronson wrenches, or the Auto-Kit?

Maybe it was part of a set...

I'd say the hole in the centre all but guarantees it.

Based on the raised beginning and ending letters, not the ignition company, but the battery company, P.R Mallory Co.
Their traditional logo was MallorY with a brand name inside the raised letters, or their complete name in there.
This is also the same company that made battery chargers, light bulbs and electronic componants. They are now part of Sonalert.

My guess would be a advertising giveaway set...I don't think i have ever seen a tool made by them....

Thanks Rusty, Sure looks like the  Mallory Battery markings. I have never seen another either, so changes of finding any other sizes are slim to none.
