its very handy when your back is killin' ya.

...is it a pooper-scooper?
-
LOL, nope but I guess that would leave stains too.

Catching garden snakes?
-
Has nothing to do with snakes.

Must be for picking up the end of some sort of pipe.

To pick up the tongue of garden tractor trailer?

I thought this would be easy, once you know you'll say you gotta be kidding me.

OK, it's to hold something your wife is making you paint.

notta, I just tell yall. Its for picking up walnuts, lol.
My back has been giving me a fit here lately so I came
up with a way to pick em up w/o squating or bending over.
I was surprized as how well it works, just squeeze the wire
together and pick up and dump into a bucket. It takes a
little longer than raking them in a pile and scooping them up,
but what the hey, I saved my back.

Sounds like what you need is a golf ball pick up device. If the walnuts aren't too big, you can pick up a bag full with one of these and then just dump them all in a bucket.
-
nah, shop vac with a stick taped to the hose. saw a guy piciking up butternuts that way once.
10 minutes of vacuuming, then you sit at the picnic table and sort out the rocks...

While we may not manufacture much in this country anymore it looks like the inventors are still alive and well!!!

I just came back to this thread, a spring loaded walnut picker, wow. Gave me the first chuckle of the day, thank you.
