COULD BE MOST ANYTHING ( brake handle , tent stake or a teaching tool) but IT IS NOT AS OLD AS THE TRUCK LOL bob w.

It's not as rusty as the truck, either (ducking)
It appears to be a bent piece of hex stock bolted to a broken handle with some leftover muffler clamps....
My guess would be that it is a belt shifter, so I suppose it could be from a sawmill...

Belt shifter sounds good. Often one belt could drive several different machines by being slid onto different pulleys.

Nice haul Skip! That kiln also works well to melt aluminum for castings. The old wax and paint cans are very cool too. I hope that the Wright hoist works.
