Gang,
Do you know which OEM owned this trade mark and when it was filed/issued? The trade mark looks like a diamond with an arrow in it and the initials DE superimposed on the arrow shaft.
Here's a couple of pic's:

Any info appreciated...

Thanks tool hounds, you ROCK!!

Gang,
For the record, I'm refurbishing this hammer. I will post it up in the auto tools forum when I get it done.
Thanks again for the identification, OEM, and approximate date. You guys are really good at this stuff.
-
A very worthwhile project! I look forward to seeing the results...
-
I love the Diamond Edge catalog.
-
clovis,
I believe that is an advertising poster that was probably displayed in hardware stores that carried Diamond Edge tools. Whatever it is, I like it too.
Until I found this hammer, I had never heard of Diamond Edge tools or Shapleigh Hardware Co. Around here (i.e. Tool Talk), you learn something new everyday. It's a good place to hang out and discover tool stuff.

A "BIC" hammer, that's a first for me;o) and a pink one at that:o)

Yeah, those old Shapleigh Hardware Co. ads were excellent. Art!
If you liked the first one, maybe you'd care to see some more?

LG,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the bonus SHC/Diamond Edge ad's. They are just awesome. They make me want to go back in time to 1923...

I second those statements.

Most welcome!
These and the old Plumb ads are among the best.
