made by THE KEYES DAVIS CO. Battle creek Mich. & marked on the other side SPOUTO Patent# 2620557
5 1/2" long, 3/4" wide with a 1 1/4" button on top, and a sharp pointed prong in front
with a handle that looks like it pulls something away from the end tip.
so what is it used for?

 According to the patent it opens the can and forms a pouring spout.

Keyes-Davis makes those little metal GI dog tags :)

Among other things....

Once upon a time, they made really kewl state of the art gadgets for the kitchen....

Thanks, the can opener works! spout looks good...  wonder what it's worth?

I emailed THE KEYES DAVIS CO. asking for info in this, they replied:
they still it, 3 for $21.00 + $6 S&H.
