I take it this is used for sharpening self-feed bits.
Only bought it out of curiosity and havn't really looked at it
besides snapping a pic.

I have no idea if everything is in the kit that is needed.
I'll take a closer look at it tomorrow to see if I can figure it out.

Bears a striking resemblance to a door lock installing jig.
-
I'm with Aunt Phil on this one. Big hole/big bit for the cylinder (the part betwen the doorknobs), small hole/small bit for the latch assembly. The cylindrical object to the left of the jig should be a quick change device that chucks into a drill, so you can switch easily between the big and small bits.

Looks more like a jig for drilling doors to take Yale type cylinders - note, two bits included in the box - why would they be there if it is a sharpening jig??
-
Absolutely a door lock jig. Grew up using a Sargent one. Great time savers from before the days of premachined doorsAlmost all of the lock companies made their version of it. I may have a kwikset one in my auction finds. The round cylinders with the rectangles are driven into the edge of the door to mortise the strike plates, usually still require a little chisel cleanup.

Irwin still markets one.

Guess thats why on the side of the jig it says Schlage.
The paper is what threw me off, it talks about sharpening bits.
It has 4 bits with it.

Nowhere near in the same league! Kwikset still produces them at $468:

Yeah, I have used them. I bought a Kwickset back in the '80s, when they were only $150. Couldn't find it in my storage when I needed
it, but found a no-name kit on eBay a couple of months ago and snapped it up for $50 including shipping. It's a great set up!

I'm liking my $50 (shipped) no name (in the original wooden carrying case!) better and better.
