Title: Green grass from the other side of the fence
Post by: kxxr on July 28, 2012, 01:29:20 PM
I recently had a road trip and had time to stop in a few shops. It's just like fishing, everyone knows 'the fishing is probably better over there'. Here's what I got just quickly skimming the tops of the bins. I think I have found a few places that the 'tool pickers' haven't already scoured. In no particular order or preference:
Alden wrenches are awesome cool, well made and a specialty item. You hold them in your hands and you can tell they are spec'd with thoughtful planning and made with care, even if in the PROC :) I like'em.

I like that B-52 Williams ratchet.  I sold the one I had and have kicked myself since.  Always good to see Thorsen and Wizard stuff surface.  Nice Proto angle wrench too.  There are enough pebble fans I don't need to be one :-)

I've seen the Mopar wrenches in various threads and forums but this is the first one I've gotten. I don't know who the maker is.

I have, before the great crash, they aren't rare, but not common either.

I suspect they were made by Bonney, but can't prove it...

Great tools kxxr. Especially like the hard to find Proto.
