For me its important to recognize when someone goes out of their way to help someone so with that in mind I would like to recognize oily for helping me out with my never ending quest to keep these computers of mine alive and learn something new as well along the way when it comes to comp. diagnosis and repair.

Not only has this problem I have been trying to straighten out been going on for several months and many e-mails but he has given me time to call him on the phone so he and I could do computer diagnostics over the phone. He did not have to do any of this.

I am now using once again here as I type my original first computer I ever purchased back in 2003 or so and Im luvin it. Thanks Derek, your a stand-up guy......now send me the needed parts to fix my third computer :)

Yeah, I feel the same way. Derek is good people, as I always say when someone is a stand up kinda guy!!

Though I've never met him in person, I feel a kind of kindred spirit when I see his posts, or send him an email, or read a response he has written.

One of these days, I hope to travel down his way and meet him and his family in person, talk a little tool talk, and check out that awesome shop he is working on.

The real truth is, though, that he is not the only one of you guys on here that I feel that way about. There are several of you that are kinda like family to me, in a weird, forum junkie, internet kind of way....I just wish I could just hit that Powerball jackpot, so I can fly everyone into one location for a get together/tool talk convention.........lol.

I would be willing to say that most of our regular people on the forum are great guys. Thanks to papaw for starting this great forum :)

Expecially oilyrascal.

When I needed a chalkline he sent it free of charge to me without requiring anything in return.
