Title: just started collecting

I just began collecting, some of the tools were given to me buy my dad sothey have sentimental value as well as asthetics.  I wanted to join the forum to get a better understand of tools and thier makers. This is going to be very helpful in gathering tools and finding some of the missing pieces.

Welcome to the best old tools place.   I've collected/used old tools for years, and am still stumped and amazed by what is posted here.  It is always enlightening.

where are you from? There is a lot of knowledge stored up in our members .Do not be afraid to ask the question no matter how small it is . I am known as the small man here ( my addiction is small adj. wrenches) but I have been known to collect other things to.  bob w.
