Found this little jem in a scrap pile the other day.(lucky me) It's in great shape and works fine. There is a small bend in the handle and I think it has been painted. From what I have read,#1,#2,#3 are rare. I can't seem to find a value on a#1, #2 #3 but the 4,5,and 6 from what I have seen sell anywhere from $1000-$1800. I'm sure there are forums or groups of vise collectors out there but I don't know where to go. Any help placing value on it or selling this would be greatly appreciated .
Thanks Mike

This is only the second photo I've seen of one of these vises. Never seen one out here in the wild. This is a wonderful modification of the blacksmiths post vise idea. The problem with those is the further apart the jaws, the less parallel they are. This chain mechanism keeps the jaws parallel all the way open. I'd love to stumble upon one.

Do you want to sell it, or are you just looking for a value?
If selling, please read the selling guidelines we have here.

Thanks guys, all I'm looking for is a value on the vise for right now. Once I get some idea of what it's worth then I"ll sell it. I'm not looking to get rich(would be nice), but just looking for a fair price for the buyer and seller. I have had some offers but I think they were a little low.
