Title: National Scientific Products Model JS 12 A Jigsaw??
Post by: dimwittedmoose51 on June 14, 2012, 09:19:59 PM
The perfect saw for Mini Me.  Thought this was a toy before I looked at it closer.  Not much on it on the internet.  The owner wold sell it BTW.....  The drive wheel for the sanding disc is a little wobbly, but it runs even with a broken blade(and where would you get one of those today???

Neat :)

The name of the company, the size, and constructon would lead me to speculate it was made for school use....

It is small enough you could probably adapt a hand jigsaw blade to it....

What IS the blade length?  I know that Dremel offered some quite short blades for its Electric Coping Saw - later called the Moto-Saw - and for at least one version of the Moto-Jig Saw.  I've got some for my Moto-Saws - can measure them.  I believe that they're pin-end style.

Great idea Ron!!

Thanks

I'll check that out.  The blade in there is broken.

I recently found one of the saws in question. I am not sure how much they are so it will be placed on eBay to the highest bidder.

Did anyone ever figure out what blade length these took?  The Dremel Moto Shop #571 took blades 8029 or 8030, which appear to be 2-3/4" pin-to-pin.
