Title: a new tool to me
Post by: jimwrench on May 14, 2012, 08:42:08 PM
This is a new tool to me. Patented by Arthur Gentry of Eldorado,Il in 1938. Patent drawing does not show it being assigned to a tool co and this example is not marked by a tool co. Wonder who produced them ? Does anyone have one with a company name on it ? I'm sure you can read the patent # 2176626 which is a bushing splitter. I can see where it would be a useful tool and wish I had acquired this about 40 years ago. Anyone have experience with this tool ?

I have one, I believe its either Wilde, or Mac on it.  Useful for driving out sleeves, king pin bushings.  Looks just like that.

I would be interested to know for certain who made them.
