Title: Twisty Screwdriver
Post by: Papaw on May 07, 2012, 09:18:55 PM
I bought this screwdriver in a lot off Etsy. It was $6 plus $1 shipping. Wood handle worn smooth from years of use and sweat, and has a crack from age. Bits of green and white paint have made their way onto this item as well. Measures 5.5" in length.

Lovely!  And not a bad price, either.  Good score.

The tip has been redone poorly by a PO, but I'll be able to fix that easily without ruining the character of the screwdriver.

Interesting. I wonder if it was always in that configuration by the original manufacturer? It can sometimes be hard to tell, with really old tools like that. Whatever the case, it's really cool.

Are you sure it isn't a stuck push to turn screwdriver?

I'm sure it isn't, Rusty, it is only 5 1/2" long.
It looks to me like it was made twisty, not changed later.
