Hello, Just found this site earlier today. I'm loving the section and posts about "old" and "vintage" tools. Ever since I was young, I would be working with an "old timer" and I would find these weird looking tools in their tool boxes. I remember always standing there in amazement and my mind would just run wild thinking of all the people who have used that old tool.
I'm in my 30's now, and I still do it. Something about old tools that just hits my imagination hard. I do not make a good assistant, because rather than trying to find the right tool that you need, I'm imagining all the workers using that one old tool I seen in the shop at some 50's steel plant lol.
I thought I was weird, and the only one lol. I'm finding out I'm not. I'm ALMOST at the point where I'm starting to consider buying old tools and either restoring them or displaying them(mainly ones with wooden handles etc).
Anyhow. Loving this forum so far. Many posts to read.
Have a great day!

Howdy and Welcome to the forum. It seems you'll fit right in.
"Wood Handles" - that sure covers a lot of ground :)

Welcome to Tool Talk! It only takes ONE old tool bought to get you sliding down the slippery slope!
Having those thoughts about where and when of an old tool is exactly why many of us are in this forum.
