That...is an awesome score, Neil!
The punch and die sets should still be available from Roper Whitney.
How much does it weigh? That thing looks sweeettt!
If you find you have no use for it, I'd be interested in it. That would be great to have in the shop.

Very nice :)
Interesting too, It appears it was originally designed as a portable tool with handles, and evolved into a bench mount tool.....

Keykeepr- Pm sent
Rusty-Thanks for the diagram. It looks like is missing the top part of its handle but is still very nice. I have used the hand ones before and there a pain in the but compared to the bench mount one I used one time.

Neat tool. Was the handle shortened by previous owner or is it original ?

Looks like it was ground down shorter. I dont know why someone would want to do that.

The slight discoloration in the middle of the handle, plus the missing grip, leads me to speculate that someone removed the grip, and straightened the handle with a torch.....
Which would allow you to place a cheater pipe on the handle....

Here is a picture of a punch with the handle intact. I had to drag it out of the blacksmith shop to get a picture of it. Mine is mounted on a plate with a tab on it so I can grab it in a vise when I want to use it. all I have is a set of 1/4" punches for it.

Looks cool. Do you know how long your handle is, cause I know mine has been cut a little.
