I got the lifter/chain/hook and the Ultimate No. 1 lifter in different places, but figured I would list them together.
I apologize for the high starting bid price on this one, but that is about my break even point on these. Ebay fees sure have gone up, which has cut into the price people bid on items.
Thanks,
John

That price is OK for those.

I have realized that about half of the expected value is the absolute most you can start an Ebay auction or you get no bids. In general, this year, I have been trying to start just about everything at 9.99 or 15.00 for higher priced items.

Thanks for sharing that thought. I have had good and bad luck on the *bay, and experienced sellers thoughts are appreciated.

Another thing about Ebay is that a lot of buyers do not know that Ebay started charging fees on the total purchase price including shipping last July. I have had no choice but to raise my shipping costs to cover the new fees.
I have been selling on Ebay for 13 years. It seems to me that people still pay about the same total price for a lot of items. So, as shipping fees go up, they just bid lower.

Charging 9% on the final price plus shipping is really painful for low buck items. I bought a wrench last week for $1.99. Shipping was $5.35 for Priority Flat rate. Not much left after a $0.67 fee. I also feel that ebay traffic is way down from a few years ago. JMHO
