Title: Today's Gift
Post by: Wrenchmensch on February 02, 2012, 01:19:20 PM
My neighbor of more than 30 years gave me this Stanley Sweetheart No. 619 hand drill.  After cleaning it up, it came out very nicely (at least by this wrench collector's standards). The patent date is 1927.

Very nice, I think that some of these were sold with several bits in the handle. The SW trademark had three different versions, they ranged from the early 20's into the 30's. I am not at home so I don't have access to my books so those dates are not too accurate.

Yes, they did come with bits in the handle. This one had one small bit left.

That's a beauty!  It looks to be in pretty good shape still.
