These came in a single box of stuff at an auction and the two round things appear to be ridge reamers of some sort, but other than the handle, the other three have me baffled. The item o nthe right appears to oscillate as you crank it so it may be some sort of valve lapping device, but I'm clueless fro there on.
TIA for the help

The tool on the far left is a valve face refinisher, than the handle to turn the valve. ( you clamp it in a vice )
The other two are valve seat refinishers.
Then a valve lapper, to finish the valve face / seat surface.
No idea on the thing with the yellow handle.

the cranker is a valve lapper
the hone and seat grinder
it looks like whoever had these kept them clean and all in one place

Does the yellow-handled thing have a diamond on the end?
If so, I'd say it's a grinding wheel dresser...

I'm going to have to take issue with you about the two items to the left of the valve lapping tool (egg beater style). Both of those items are used to remove the ridge in an engine cylinder prior to removing the pistons. As stated, they are ridge reamers. I have used both types shown here.

if the egg beater turns in complete circle it could be some sort of grinder if it turns in half circle when cramked it is a lapper
-
The egg beater is definitely a lapper, made by the Zim Co. out of Chicago. No model number stamped on it and no clue how old it is. As for the Screwdriver thingie, it was hard to tell if there was some sort of diamond edge on the end of the shank, but maybe it will just have to be a mystery piece. I could take it down to the local engine rebuilder and see what he says....
Thanks

No, no; we can't have that.

Take some more pictures!

Upper left of the lapperlocks like a ridge reamer.
-
Those pieces are in much better condition than I usually see them. The lower ridge reamer, which I have a twin to, is supported at the top of the cylinder by those spider like legs, they ride on top the block, the lower one is missing. The upper one looks like a Lisle, have a twin to it also. The crank handle barely looks used, I believe it turns the valve that is placed in the valve refacer on the left. Sure would like another photo of the screwdriver device, but a stone refacer seems likely. Nice find.

PaPaw, I'll shoot some more detailed photos....motto of this forum seems to be"Let no item stump the members!" I like that attitude.

True, we don't like unsolved What's-its.

Close ups, as belatedly promised....

...and the rest....

the yellow handled device certainly looks like a stone dresser, as we suspected. Thanks for the new pics.
