Went to a high school/estate auction a ways north of the house that advertised tools and shop equipment. I was sniffing around at the shop compressor, but found a lot more to bid on. The compressor went for $500(way more than it was worth) and a 50' compressed air hose with retractable metal reel went for an astounding $350!! Chinese crap tool flats were bringing $20-30 and I was beginning to wonder if I was even going to get busy with anything out there.
Once things settled down a bit, I was able to find a few bargains, a couple of things I wanted, and a couple of things I bid on that I maybe bid too much on, but not by a lot.
In additon to the stuff in the photos, I snagged a really nice Bosch DA electric sander for $27(Swedish made) and a CP air chisel made in the US for $45 with the chisel bits. Also won a complete high school science project for $26 that had all kinds of flywheels, electric motors and current testers. Heck, the 3 Mighty Vacs in the boxes were worth the $26.
First photo shows the 1/4" SK mini ratchet set that may be fairly old, as the SK interior logo is a metal plate riveted in place rather than being a decal. Going clockwise, there's a Snap On
V-22 Valve adjusting tool for a Cummins Diesel in perfect condition, an antique Snap On RT-1600 Torqometer (unfortunately missing its bezel, but the metal case is near immaculate and the unit appears to work), a stash of SK 1/2 sockets(the deepwells and a couple others didn't make the photo shoot), and an All Power piston ring groove cleaner.
The second photo has the find of the day, a Diamond Handy Boy DH-18 in near perfect condition although it lightly has "Bill" scrawled on the side, but it's barely visible,. Two Snap oN screwdrivers, A Crescent R-210 pliers, An old Craftsman P 4735 external snap ring pliers, an 18" Matco phillips screwdriver with a burgundy handle(man. date anyone??), and a 10" pr. of Craftsman slip joint pliers. There was a bunch of other stuff including an IH wire crimping tool, but not worth photographing. Check out the What is it post also as there's some machine shop stuff there I have no clue what they are.
Most of this stuff will go on ebay eventually,, unless someone here needs some of it. Pmail please.

Swedish or Swiss? I know Bosch manufactured in Switzerland, but I've never heard they did so in Sweden...

I'm thinking Swiss is correct. I have heard on line that his model does burn up the oscillator thingie, but so has my Chinese Milwaukee, so I went another brand for a trial.

As requested, here's a closeup of the SK box and my other 1/4" sockets. The bottom photo is the contents of the small ziploc bag.

While I was out in the shop, I went ahead and shot photos of the rest of the SK stash...somehow it seemed appropriate......

That Matco screwdriver looks familiar. The first Matco handles I recieved in 1978 were that color. Seemed to hold up well, obviously as thats almost 35 years old. Not sure I even have one around yet.

Maybe not Matco but USA tools brand
