I see bits and pieces of this set sometimes, and the asking price is high, but I can't say I've ever seen the whole thing, box and all. For the Craftsman that has to have 'em all, this would have been one to get too. I would not have been surprised to see these go for quite a bit more than they did. I am seeing some great stuff in the 'completed listings' this week. Too Late!

I've never seen that full set before either.
Still, too rich for my blood (wallet)...

You know, there is something wrong with mechanics wrenches that are shipped in a velvet lined box.to me. It's one of those lipstick on a pig kinda things.

Yea, it is a bit silly...
It is too bad that tool makers didn't take the idea of using stainless more seriously tho. If there is anything we have learned after 100 years it is that plating tools doesn't keep them from rusting. It sure would be nice to have tools that don't turn to rust if you happen to leave them out in the wet for a day....

I have picked up Berylco and AMPCO tools over time. They were used, and maybe stolen from, the refineries, explosives plants, gas works, and arsenals that are being shuttered one by one with time. They do not rust, but the economy is.
