Title: Mossberg Ford Exhaust wrench
Post by: sumner52000 on January 27, 2012, 05:34:33 PM
I have had this in my pile to sort and clean for a while.  It says

Exhaust Pack Nut Wrench for Fords

MFD by Frank Mossberg Co.

Any idea when it was made or what model it was used on?

I did have one.  The lead down pipe on the T did not have a flange with gasket for a connection.  It looked more like a pipe thead, with a gland nut to tighten the pipe to it.

I don't have a Model T, but I've got several tools I've collected for them. Haven't seen one of those yet. Now I know what to look for at flea markets and such.

I think that the model "T" had large nut, maybe 2 inch. What is the opening of your wrench ?

It is right around 2".  Maybe a hair larger.
