Yankee, by North Brothers, made some fine push screwdrivers, but I have two Yankee bracedrills, the big crank style that will use a square tapered shank bit. These are some of the finest drills made, according to some sites online, but, the two I found last summer do not have chucks. I'd be interested in a drill or two with usable chucks. Even would do a trade.

Got a couple of good braces. Looking for just any usable brace? In decent condition?

The Yankees were rather unique, but thank you for the offer. In an earlier collecting splurge, I found myself tripping over braces at every flea and driveway sale, so I took them home and trip over them in my shop! I just feel its a shame that someone cannibalized these two drills, and would like to get them back to usable condition. Here is a Millers Falls brace, the Yankees are just like it but different*. The Yankees are identifiable by the name on the pad.

I wonder if the jaws from a different manufacturer might interchange with the Yankee. Santa brought me a Yankee, so maybe I can check the jaws against a different brand.
