Not me.

Time's running out MrChuck.
-
Sold for $12.50
-
So may we look forward to yet another very cool old catalogue, MrChuck?
-
I passed on it because it specialized on "Van-Chrome", which was also a line of tools made by Herbrand.
I was looking for info on the ratchet wrench in this photo.
It is the Herbrand "speed ratchet".
I believe that Herbrand made the "Craftsman" speed ratchet for Sears Roebuck.
I found this ratchet at the "swap meet" that I visit every Saturday.
It was in a display box with other treasures.
Pricey, but I wanted it.
I opened it up, pulled out the main gear and the pawl springs.
All are fine.
When do you think this ratchet was made?

1949-50.
The patent referred to ended up being D158,073. The application was filed in 1949 and issued to E.A. Heschel in 1950.

But I don't believe Herbrand made the Craftsman version for Sears as I believe those tools were marked "V"...

Moore drop forge had a design patent on the funky reverse lever shape....
-
Still 4 days left to own the Craftsman, Mr Chuck.
-
Four days is a long time on that thing. Unless things have changed, expect it to fetch north of $100...
-
The Herbrand has the permanent extension on it that has a handle in the middle of it.
This extension is a permanent part.
I will watch the Craftsman. I agree, every one I have seen on eBay, went for BIG bucks.
-
The Craftsman is only up to $26.50
-
Does anyone know what catalog the craftsman appears in? I looked through all my pdf's and can't find it.
