Corey, sometimes we wander a bit in our responses- nothing bad intended at all.
Biscuits and gravy?? Yes, but only with white gravy, preferably with bits of sausage in it.

Not a problem. I guess I am just a little slow and could not connect the conversation to anything that I posted. I don't mind wondering conversations at all. Sometimes those are the best.

If its gravy, I'll eat it regardless, provided its not made from entrails!
(and yes certain family members of mine will make gravy from chicken/turkey innards and it looks like regular gravy and you don't know its in there.... until its too late! Bleeeaaack!!)
Really good chicken fried steak is actually pretty hard to make.
At least in a skillet with your own homemade breading.
I'll eat my own.
But I ain't no Great Aunt Catherine, and that is for sure and for certain!
That girl could whip out homemade biscuits, cfs, and smother everything with red eye sausage gravy to light up your very soul! In a heartbeat!!

Around here, finding the "best" chicken fried steak dinner is always a quest.
The best ever is in Strand, Texas. A small diner on Main St.,,, but too far to go unless heading out to Abilene, TX.
Haven't found one around here that "reliably" is good on every visit.

Naw, the best is still at Rae's Steak House in Bakersfield.
Sausage gravy... OK, I've had some that's really good (about four blocks from my house!) Still, chicken gravy and bacon gravy are my favorites.
(But a good, not too sweet, sausage gravy runs a close second place.)

If'n you boys are talking gravy, then you need to head on over here to Wes BY GUM Virginny.....Gravy is the official state gourmet food...lol.
Seriously, I make a killer sausage gravy and biscuits. Takes a little time, but well worth the wait!!
My beef gravy ain't too shabby, either. Especially coupled with my roast beef!!

Yes, I know things will get off topic at times. I am completely fine with it and find it entertaining to see where conversations go.
