I bought this Ronson Alligator wrench more for the cool factor than for being an alligator wrench. This one is larger than the Ronsons I have in kit form, and it has more functions. Openings of 3/8, 15/16, 5/8, 17/32, a bottle opener, and an alligator jaw with screwdriver tip! In the center are two thread chasers of 1/2x 26tpi, and 5/16 x 32tpi.
The coolest part is the scaly gator on the face of it! I rubbed some sheetrock dust on it to try to bring up the pattern.
Marked on the reverse with Ronson Alligator - Patented.

Papaw,
I tried to win this one on ebay a while back, but it went to high. Was gonna be a Christmas present for ya!
First one like that I have seen. I'll keep my eye out for another!

That is really cool! Love the scales! Think I'll start keeping my eyes peeled for one of these!

Check DATAMP for design patent no. D52,157 ( http://www.datamp.org/patents/advance.php?pn=D52157&id=22745&set=3 ). Mr. Aronson really let his imagination go on this thing, didn't he?
There is a late production version with red & black paint that does not include the stamping of the scales.

Stan, do you think they ever produced any like the patent drawing?
