Title: round gauge or something else

i thought the 10,25 and 50 were thousands but they are too big,and the 3 odd holes?....any ideas

U.S. patent dates are Tuesdays   Possibly English or Canadian?

Spaces to count sheets of paper or cardstock?

CORRECTION   --thickness of material, cord, thread,  or fabric?  Patents describe improvements on a sewing machine, but abstract & drawings are not available.  CANADIAN

I'd still like to know what it's for.
Apparently, Canadian patent info isn't as readily available as USPO.  Did you get anything else with it?

I've had it awhile,it was probably mixed in with a bunch of old keys??
