Title: Box lot auction item #2 & #3
Post by: Sudsy on May 06, 2024, 05:16:23 PM
The bladed tool is probably some specialty harvesting tool. Thin (ish) spring steel, very sharp.

The wooden fork with the paddle handle I've no idea at all, not even a guess

The spring steel may be a luthier's froe?  The forked stick may be a push stick.

Sharpened on the inside so not a froe

We just built a firepit in the backyard, I could used a froe. If this turn out to be noting of value, that's what it's going to become.

It is a corn cutter, a type of field knife.

The wooden fork could have been used to lift clothes from a very hot laundry tub.  My grandmother would boil sheets with just a small amount of soap, in a tub on top the wood stove.
