about 15" long wood tip and a filter like material in the brass part,found in a garage with a lot of model a/t parts

oops,not a tool...its a fog horn

It is a fog horn. Wilcox-Crittenden made some similar. They might have an online catalog you can view.

thanks for that,i am familiar with WC ,its in my 1962 catalog # 500
