I like that select o lock never seen one before.
-
Utica and MAC Tools both had Select-O-Lock wrenches, I have a 4 inch example of both.
-
That's great, I am shocked that I have never seen one before.
-
I forgot that I have a 6-inch H. Boker with the Select-O-Lock feature, but it isn't marked as such. One side is marked H Boker USA and the other side is marked Forged Alloy Steel USA.

I was born in the 50,s and being from a farm and auto mechanic to repair man all my life and I never run across one lol always something new to learn thank you for putting up with all my posts and thanks for sharing the select-o-matic adjustable wrench

I was an Auto mechanic for 47 years. Always had an assortment in my box. Many times, young guys called them farmers wrenches and laughed at me.
Until they needed to borrow one. They have their uses in open spaces.
I have way more then I need , not many open spaces on new cars or even riding lawn mowers.

Always had a 12 in. Adjustable nearby. Born in the 50s, farmer then auto mechanic, had up to a 15 incher in my box. Need to bend a bumper bracket? No problem. Every tractor carried 2 12 inchers, just in case. Bring out a Crescent in the shop and the younguns would mutter "knuckle buster " . Just got to know how to use tools. A few of mine . Got a dozen brands hanging there, but no Blackhawks to be found .

On the farm we called them adjustable hammer. They can really take a beating and hardly ever broke even with a cheater bar on them.
-
Some more I found in another tool box lol

I collect 4-inch crescent style wrenches just over 230 different variants so far. I have a 36-inch Owanta Tool Co bolt adjust crescent style and several 24-inch crescent style wrenches, one in my truck and 2 in the basement just in case. Numerous others around the house, garage and truck, too many to keep track of.

I found my 15 inch adjustable in another tool box I have no name on it but made in the usa.

That one is the Danielson design made after Danielson was purchased by Plomb/Proto. Probably’50s or ‘60s based on the date code.
