Kerosene jar I found a while back in a old building to bad the lid wasn't on it lots rust.

That is the fuel tank for a cookstove,  some even burned gasoline, yes, in the home.  Sat on a valve, upside down,  actually they worked very well, my mother heated water for doing laundry.

I even have a gasoline cutting torch if I can find it lll.

The jar says patent 1916 on the jug.
