Title: Sort of estate sale purchases
Post by: amecks on March 18, 2022, 08:53:42 PM
Advertised on Craigslist in Garage sales, these folks do estate sales and it appears they rent this one-bay warehouse to hold the stuff they didn't sell at estate sales.  I was here a year or two ago and found some good items.  Today I got 12 items for $10 and I paid the asking price for the Xcelite set.

This is the first complete set of any nutdrivers I've owned.  While I have more sizes than are in this set, they all came from random purchases.  Some of them don't quite match in style, even though they are all Xcelite.

There is a 1" clamp and a 3/4" clamp, Craftsman USA made 4 incher with Circle Y mark, Snap-On short 10mm combo, I think that's a 7/16 x 1/2  streamlined panel Superrench and a Superrench angle wrench 3/4 x 5/8.  An unopened package of Xacto knife blades and an Xacto Project Handbook and Hobby Tool Guide.  It's half catalog, half hobby book.  Looks like it was printed in 1965.

Lots of tools - check the pistol "lock-griplier".

Neat!  I have a couple of those 3/4" c-clamps and keep waiting for the project for which they are absolutely what I need.  Maybe some time.

Nice find on the Xcelite set. I’ve found a couple of those over the years.

You can't beat those vintage Xcelite nut drivers. Great find!
