Title: Found a Craftsman tombstone
Post by: john k on February 09, 2022, 02:42:00 PM
Was in the Habitat store.  Between some rusty radial arm saws sat a Craftsman Tombstone grinder.  Original cast iron stand, guards, faceplates, and a very neat attachment for sharpening chisels.  Little water trough is intact, cord is good,  paint just a touch sunfaded.  Never had one before, used to be some discussion abbout them here.  Oh, both grinding wheels are like new.  Probably overpaid, what they going for in your neighborhood?

I can get $100 for a nice one, a little less for 'well used' ones

Thanks, forked over 75 for it.  This will be it, no more room for another grinder.
